Kia has announced that it will host an EV Day on February 27 in Tarragona, Spain. During this event, the company will unveil the EV2 concept, along with two new upcoming Kia electric cars: the EV4 and PV5.

    1. EV2 concept to preview Kia's new entry-level model for global markets
    2. EV4 looks to be a Seltos-sized coupe-SUV
    3. PV5 van will be the first Kia model to use the company's PBV platform

    Kia EV2 concept details

The teaser images of the EV2 suggest that the concept features compact crossover proportions, a baby blue paint finish, and a contrasting black roof. Up front, the EV2 concept has dual vertically oriented headlight modules on either side and a faux skid plate lower down. Chunky plastic cladding can be seen all around the EV2's lower half, and the Y-shaped tail-lamps have an intriguing three-dimensional look. The production-spec EV2 will serve as Kia's entry-level model in overseas markets, replacing the Picanto hatchback.

    Kia EV4 details

The EV4 will finally break cover in full production form at Kia's 2025 EV Day, and the teasers allude to it sporting a coupe-SUV body style that can be expected to resemble the Seltos' size. The fascia features vertically oriented headlights, and the EV4's sides get thick plastic cladding. The roofline slopes towards the rear, but it seemingly doesn't flow straight into the rear windshield. Instead, there's a divot at the end of the roofline under which the rear windshield goes. Further back, the EV4 has boomerang-shaped tail-lamps and a mild extrusion on the boot lid that looks like a lip spoiler.

    Kia PV5 details

The third upcoming Kia reveal will be the production-spec PV5 electric van. It looks to have a boxy, minimalist design finished in a dual-tone paint scheme, along with distinctive S-shaped headlights and thin vertically-mounted rectangular tail-lamps.

The EV4 is built on Kia's E-GMP platform, and the EV2 Concept is expected to utilise the same. The PV5, meanwhile, will be the first to leverage the company's Platform-Beyond-Vehicle (PBV) skateboard. As for a potential India launch, Kia did trademark eight EV names here back in 2023, which included the EV2 and EV4. However, only time will tell if the company actually plans to bring these new EVs to India.
